Forum Post: ADS7039-Q1: Wrong data from the chip

Part Number: ADS7039-Q1 Hello, In our design we use the chip ADS7039QDCU*Q1. The input at the pin ANIP is 0v w.r.t pin ANIM. But I read the SDO as some random data and its never 0 in my case. I am following the offset calibration on power up as per Figure 36 and section 8.4.1.1 of the datasheet. I confirmed the sequence of SCK to be 16 clocks while chip select was 0 on the oscilloscope. I also confirmed the acquisition time after chip select was made high again. After power up sequence, I start to read the ADC value after considerable amount of time for 1st sample. In this case the sample is 0v all the time. But yet I read some random value. How do I make sure that I have done the correct calibration? What else do I do to make sure that I get the correct ADC values? Thank You, Sagar
