Hi SmartEngr, The ADS124S08 is an updated version of the ADS1248 with additional features. The ADS124S08 is capable of doing everything the ADS1248 . In addition the reference voltage is changed to 2.5V. The PGA can be bypassed which will allow single-ended measurements using unipolar analog supply. An external reference can be applied up to the voltage of the analog supply voltage. There is a global chop feature, and the ability to choose either a SINC filter or a low-latency digital filter. The result is lower noise in the measurement. There is also a low-side switch to conserve power in bridge measurements. There is also an improved temperature sensor. I would suggest looking at the main features of each of the devices by comparing the datasheets. In particular review the noise tables. Best regards, Bob B
