Hi user5922913, It is a little hard to follow how the RTD is actually connected to the connector and the path of the current flow. It appears that the register settings you are using will provide for a negative output as AIN0 is connected to your (-) sense point, but the register has the connection to AINP. You probably will need to swap the setting for the input mux so that AIN0 is AINN and AIN1 is AINP. Also, it would appear that the schematically the reference is actually connected to REFP1 instead of REFP0, so you would need to use the correct reference in the register settings for the desire current path. To verify the path, you should be able to take a DMM and measure the voltage across the RTD and at the reference to make sure you are using the path that is correct for the desire measurement. Your filter values should be fine. The latest completed conversion is signaled on a high to low transition (not low to high) on the ADS1248 . You do not need to use the RDATA command, but may wish to do so if you think you are having timing issues while reading the data. In the read data continuous mode the data is always updated on the high to low transition of DRDY. If you attempt to read data during the update period you will receive a mix of old and new data. This can be avoided using the RDATA command. Best regards, Bob B
