Hello, I would suggest using an oscilloscope on your digital lines to make sure that what you are expecting is correct. This will allosw visually see what you are sending and recieving to/from the device. Also, this way you can confirm that the registers are correctly being programmed. When ready, you can test the Alert feature by using a known DC value , within the threshold and then trigginering the alert by stepping up/down the input, this way you know when to expect an alert as well as the data. this will also help to verify that the alert is being cleared correctly. Please share the scope shots to assist debugging. The following diagram may prove helpful to program and step through the procress of using the Pre alert configuration.
