Hello Sam, You should treat the single GND pin as an analog ground. We recommend partitioning your board into analog and digital sections, and then use a single solid ground plane. This is what we do on most of our EVM boards. If not possible in your case, treat all pins on the ADC as analog. When routing the digital lines back to the MCU, it is best not to cross between ground planes, but to route the signals over the analog plane (away from sensitive analog signals) and cross into the digital side where the two ground planes (analog and digital) are connected together.
