Hi Frank, Measuring the REF0 inputs of the ADS1220 may be a technically possible, but the accuracy of the measurement will not be the same as with the analog inputs. The voltage divider may not be consistent from part to part. The intention of the REF0 measurement is more of a monitor, so this may or may not work as well as you intend. As the voltage measurement at the reference is a voltage divider, there will be some current associated with the measurement. There is also current associated with leakage which can be +/-10 nA. This is primarily due to the ESD diodes at higher operating temps. The measurement of the reference uses the internal reference for the measurement. That is why the measurement is using the voltage divider (divide by 4). It is fine to switch between the mux settings at whatever interval is desired. Best regards, Bob B
