Hello Jim B, I'm not sure this fully answers my questions: 1) I still don't have a good understanding of the difference between "Terminal Voltage Range", "Peak input current", "Peak RF input power", and "Peak total input current". 2) We want to introduce a DC offset to the outputs of the LMH3401 but no suggestion was offered. You are saying that for LMH3401 with Ro = 40 Ohm, with the Termination Loss of 6 dB, causes the maximum differential output voltage of 5.6 Vpp from the LMH3401 , to drop by the 6 dB (power I assume) down to 2.8 Vpp, and 2.8 Vpp (+-1.4 Vpeak) is safe for the ADC12DJ3200 ? What if one were also to introduce a negative DC offset onto Vout+ and a positive DC offset onto Vout-, to make Vout+ - Vout- drop below -1.4 Vpeak? How far below -1.4 Vpeak could Vout+ - Vout- be made before ADC12DJ3200 either (1) experiences damage or (2) distorts the input signal even while sampling only at points where the full scale is not exceeded? Thanks, PTD
