I didn't make a Bytes/bit error. I missed a '0' while reviewing my numbers this morning!
Can I confirm your last comment:

This sounds like the TSW1400 can do what's needed, but the next comment confused me:
> The TSW1400 can trigger and then capture a long record of 500MSPS. You can then post-process this long record. Is this what you want?
What I'd like to do is:
- retrigger the TSW1400 every 1kHz
- on every 1kHz event, record exactly 10,000samples at 40MSPS (250uS)
- this should fill the 512Msample buffer in about 50seconds (10,000samples per trigger x 1,000triggers per second x 50seconds)
